America's highest paid actress Jen Lawrence won't vote GOP

My first thought was, "Why should people our age pay attention to what a young actress thinks?" but then my second thought was, "I bet a lot of young voters would be hanging off her every word".

We haven't heard too much about how the celebrities divide when it comes to presidential elections. Would you say that they are at least as influential on voting behaviour as the televised debates?

As I remember in some recent elections it was reported that most Hollywood types are liberal at least but some few are strong conservatives.
 

Yes, Bob, but do they influence the voting trends?
Do they get people motivated to go to the polling booths to cast a vote?

I don't expect a definitive answer.
It was just a passing thought on my part.
 
Warrigal, none of this campaign stuff can be traced to voter reactions. Just wishful thinking is what is created. It is interesting to know that most Hollywood types are lefties and still some are conservatives and not afraid to say so.
 
She was on ABC world news last being interviewed by Diane Sawyer and she's campaigning for higher higher wages for women vs men (a good cause), calling it the 'gender pay gap'.......if she's the highest paid actress she probably wasn't referring to herself.

She's the highest paid actress. But her male co-stars were paid more than she. And she was the star! I'll be seeing her in the 4th and last of the series of Hunger Games films next week for hubby's birthday.

Celebrities would never influence how I feel on any issue, especially not how I vote. I have never and will never vote for any republican. I lost all respect for Clint Eastwood when he did that stupid chair interview and bashed Obama.
 
Good for Eastwood. He had the courage to be honest amid his radical friends. Some are really not fair to the US as they are true socialist and communist at heart.

I know well the difference and none are intended to be driving the US government, but many are now in the government. Read the Constitution and you will find that with the PEOPLE in charge as described, there is no way for the socialist or communist to be in there as both like to have governments that dictate to the people.

Reason with? Damn little reasoning going on in this forum. Mostly a few way off balance ones thinking all should bow down to their twisted ideas. Time for the people to take back the job assigned by the constitution.
