How are you today?

Good morning. DH died 17 years ago today. Sometimes it seems like yesterday, others it seems like eons ago. I still think of things I need to ask him before remembering that he's not here to ask:(

It did warm up a bit yesterday. DD had an errand to run so I went along, and I was right! The air outside is different than the air inside. Yup. Might go out again today...waiting to see what's on DD's agenda. It's not particularly cold out, but kinda overcast and gloomy.

Yanno what I'm gonna do today? Are you sitting? No? Take a seat! Dust. Yes, indeedy. I'm gonna dust. Might get tired before all 300sf of The Hovel gets dusted, but I'm gonna start. In the sitting room. Gonna start in the sitting room because that's where I spend most of my time and see the dust.

So far I've fed Maggiecat, cleaned the litter box, had coffee, eaten breakfast. Time to don my glad rags.

Morning all folks!!! Up at 730am and what do i see?! SnOw! yeah
it dumped a good 2 inches overnite!!! was barely spittin when I went
to bed at 9pm, now a good 2+ inches of the white stuff!!
and it is only 12F out there...my left hip is telling me this is still
a painful time of year, oh well....hands and other joints not too
bad today.....no big plans at all....make yourself a great day!!!!
;) (y) :love::coffee:

You go ahead and enjoy your sNOw without me, @hawkdon.

Where's @Pepper? I hope she's just getting used to being home with her kitties.

DD needed to go to the bank so I rode along with her. The bank is right next door to a Publix, and I had a $4 winning powerball ticket from before Christmas, so we went there. DD got ice cream. I got $$ :).

Okay. That's enough for one day, right? Nope. Came home and washed up some dishes, emptied trash, vacuumed up kitty litter and dusted the sitting room. I'll probably pay for it later:sleep:.

Sigh... I should do that too, but pulling together this simple business order turned into a marathon job for myriad reasons - all of them annoying, and include moving our screen printing business to a new contractor.

I'll mostly wrap it up after breakfast but will need to consult our customer for guidance on part of it.

Since dusting itself is also annoying, I'll continue delaying that chore until I resolve and finish with the more pressing annoyance.

Beautiful day outside - high of 81 today.

I think Pepper is resting. I have to clean too today and there will be dust.

Here it is morning again! Everybody else in the area is enjoying looking at a dusting of sNOw. Except here. We didn't get so much as one flake. Actually, that's fine with me.

I'm suspicious...already feeling better than I think I should. LOL If I still feel good an hour from now, I'd really like to go Walmarting because...they have things that are too expensive at Publix, which is the other store where I can use my KP healthy food card. All I'd have to do is convince DD that she should take me over there. I don't wanna wait until tomorrow because it's MLK Day, and there's no school. WM will be overrun with kids for me to trip over...

I'm weirdly busy with things I want rather than have to do. I need to catch up my Animal Crossing game because I impulsively deleted my island when I couldn't get the new DL content to work. Boyfriend wants to play but is happy to wait for whenever I get there. He's got lots of games. :)

Husband and I have a bit of catch up to do with our hockey team's games, which is always a good time, even if we don't win. Though, sure, it's a lot more fun if we do. ;)

I've finished "harvesting" the clothes I bought at the thrift. I have separate piles of fabrics, elastics, clips, padding, etc. It's so much fun to break garments down for parts. Now I need to pick a Barbie outfit or dress I want to make and start sewing. :)

Hope everyone is having a nice afternoon.

DD made her deadline with time to spare so we hustled off to Walmart. Got most of the stuff on my list, and the rest will wait until Wednesday or Thursday at Aldi. But I got out and lasted way longer than I thought I would...more than two hours out and about without having to lie down! Yay.

63 days until spring...looks like I might recover enough by then to actually play in the dirt. Yippee.

Okay. I'll admit it. The Walmart adventure did wear me out. The store we go to is not small. Now I'm resting.

Had a lovely day yesterday with 4 year old GS, then afternoon-evening saw DD and her crew. Today we're taking the 22 month old for the day. It's a school holiday in the US (Martin Luther King Day), so DDIL and the kids are off, but DS is not.

DDIL stumbled, fell, and wrenched her knee at work on Thursday, so we're taking some of the pressure off by watching one of their littles each day. Two small children is a lot with a painful knee. It's all good though. We enjoy having them and have nothing more pressing to manage.

I look forward to doing little more today than pulling together a little lunch, dispensing cookies, and sitting on the floor with a toddler while playing with toy cars, truck and trains, and building with magnet tiles (LOVE them!), Lincoln logs (saved from our kids' childhoods), train tracks and Hot Wheels tracks.

Should be a fun day ahead. Bonus: this GS still takes naps!

Hope all have a great Monday, January 19th!

I was feeling overwhelmed so I updated my to do, to call lists and then took a long shower. Now I feel a bit better and hope to feel accomplished by the end of the day.
I have a trash service now but I have so much after cleaning out that I need to make a trip to the dump.
I'm separating the things that need to be done and starting to leave things that can wait.

You've been busy!! You go girl! Get that dark "to do" cloud off your head today! Good Luck!

I'm awake and lurked earlier...as usual thought that once I read stuff, I'd posted, too. Duh.

It's 23F here this morning. It's too cold to even get dressed. I'm moving in with @StarSong. Not to worry. I'm skinny and not too tall so won't take up much room. Maggiecat is coming along. She's not skinny.

So far there's no plan for today. Don't know if I should volunteer to make dinner or not. I don't have any original ideas for dinner. Maybe meatloaf, Kraft mac & cheese, broccoli...not gourmet but filling. Should I or shouldn't I?

Just say it's National Fasting Day, even the government offices are closed.
