How are you today?

Took 4 year old GS for the day yesterday. ❤️ We met up with DD's family for about an hour and watched 11 year old GD play in a street hockey league (sponsored by the public parks department). What a hoot! GD enjoyed herself and we all had fun watching, GS included.

Although only the refs wore skates (the kids were in sneakers) and the "puck" was a small orange ball, most hockey rules applied. Sure brought me back to the Gretzky era when we had Los Angeles Kings (ice hockey) season tickets, and the 12 years (ish) during which one of our sons played roller and ice hockey.

It wasn't long before I heard myself yelling, "Clear the puck" or "don't pass in front of your own goal" or "take the shot!"

Life can be filled with good times! ❤️❤️❤️

I wrote this post yesterday and, apparently, forgot to click "post." 😖😅
My boyfriend is at a party today and I likely won't see him until much later tonight. It's now the more relaxed part of my day so, right now I'm watching a show and playing Animal Crossing. ☺️

I really want some microwave popcorn, which I usually have at this time of day, but I've been feeling like I'm eating just slightly too much lately so, I'm trying to hold out until dinner and skip the popcorn calories.
Well that didn't work. I practice intermittent fasting so don't eat at night and its almost always fine. I'm hungry, but not deeply hungry; it doesn't distract me and it's perfectly manageable. Not last night! Sheesh. I skipped the popcorn and graham crackers yesterday and I was so hungry whilst watching hockey with husband that I was having trouble focusing on the game.

Husband was eating some cheese puffs and I watched him pick up each one; I couldn't help it. Finally, I had a piece of cinnamon/raisin swirl bread with chunky peanut butter on top. And I'm really glad I did because that actually brought me back to comfortably hungry.

I guess I have my calories well balanced with current my diet (meaning what I eat each day, not a "diet").

I loved this post, Star. I've been a hockey fan for 36-ish years. (Husband played goal tender in community college and later adult league hockey. 🥰
