February full moon tonight

I'm looking forward to off roading tonight in the snow under a full moon without a cloud in the sky
I was reading through posts randomly and came upon this post. I guess it was around 25 years ago when a friend of mine went snowmobiling with his two sons and their friends in the evening on a very cold night with plenty of snow on the ground. My friend went on state land where he was unfamiliar with.

He followed the boys for awhile before deciding to go off on his own to look for wildlife. He wandered onto private property and the owner had a wire strung around a rather large hole in the ground with a few orange flags on it. The police that investigated his accident said he thought my friend saw the flags at the last moment, but before he could change directions or stop, he went into the wire, which caused him to be ejected and went airborne from his ride. He never took precautions, like wearing a helmet and seatbelt.

He went head first into a tree nearby and suffered brain and neck damage. I went to visit him after only a few days from the accident while in the hospital. His wife and daughter told me that the doctors were saying he had suffered brain damage and would most likely be a quadriplegic. He was still in a coma when I visited him. A month later, he was still in a coma and the wife was moving him to an LCF in Indiana where she is from. He died 15 months later and my wife and I flew out to the memorial service.

The last few night I have had to sleep in a different room for warmth. Do not want the overhead light on so keep the door open a crack and leave the hall light on. Each night someone "does me a favor" and turns out the hall light. I have been thankful for the full moon for casting enough light to keep me from breaking my neck.

Hate to hear stories like this... And I have been involved with more than I care to remember. Lost a school friend at 16 hitting a cable on a snowmobile at night. Another friends son nearly died from hitting a gate on a 4 wheeler.

I have a rechargeable motion sensor light in my bedroom for those nightly toilet trips. You ca also get Battery ones.. they're very cheap to buy... The bedside lamp would be too harsh on me if I turned it on... so I have the motion sensor light positioned opposite my bed , so that as soon as I start to throw the covers back to get up the light comes on...just a little glow enough to see the way.. and stays on until I get back..

also have one in the bathroom...

I have these... type
