Was it abuse what my teacher did to me?

Well there wouldn't be any evidence after all this time- but OP can still ask and discuss about an event that happened to him.

Me three. And I'm also wondering why we keep getting sent to YouTube to find out what OP is saying instead of just writing it out. This is a discussion forum, not a place to gather views for a YT channel. I haven't clicked on links making us watch a video instead of just posting the question or comment after I did it the first time.

The age of consent in England and Wales is 16. This is the age when young people of any sex, gender or sexual orientation can legally consent to taking part in sexual activity.

This means that sexual activity between two or more people is always unlawful if at least one of the people is under the age of 16.
It doesn't matter if:
  • All those involved are the same age or very close in age.
  • Those under the age of 16 have given their consent (in line with the definition above).
However, not everyone who does something unlawful is charged with a crime and taken to court (prosecuted). It is up to prosecutors to decide whether it is in the 'public interest' for this to happen ā€“ and, when making this decision, they have to take certain factors into account.


That's why, when deciding whether or not to prosecute someone who takes part in sexual activity with a person under the age of 16, prosecutors are supposed to consider lots of different factors. These include:

  • How close in age and maturity levels those involved are.
  • The relationship of those involved.
  • Whether the person under 16 consented.
  • Whether the sexual activity was a normal part of the process of becoming an adult.
  • Whether the person under 16 was aged 12 or under.

16 and 17-year-olds​

Although the age of consent is 16, the law has some extra protections in place for young people aged 16 and 17.
For example, it is illegal to:
  • Take a photo or video of someone aged 18 or under engaging in sexual activity.
  • Pay for sexual services from someone under 18.
  • Take part in sexual activity with someone under 18 if you are in a position of trust ā€“ for example, if you are their teacher, social worker, doctor or care worker.
  • Take part in sexual activity with someone under 18 if they are a member of your family.

I'm even more confused due to new posts..
However, I was drawn back to this thread based on comments by HollyDolly- while I have great difficulty following videos with speech/speaking, the video had text so I could somewhat follow what OP said..

I'm fully aware there are situations in which individuals can mess with other people's minds (brainwashing, etc.), BUT when that's not the case, and individuals do what they want to do, and should be aware that what they did was wrong, it's downright idiotic for them to later claim they were 'abused'- especially in instances like a guy I knew years ago who was actually BRAGGING about an affair he'd had with his stepmother.
People these days are given too many excuses for why they're not responsible for their behaviors.
I certainly knew right from wrong when I was 16-17 years old..

I agree. Ask the question here, instead of making everyone visit your video channel.

I'm with you , Kate... no more clicking after the first time. If he can't be bothered, neither can I.
 
To me, it seems as though the OP is a wannabe social media provocator/influencer.
But he's advertising himself as a thing of interest... asking questions and seeking people
to "follow" him and see what other craziness he gets into, idk...
