The littles are here today and tomorrow from about 7:30am - 6:30pm, so two busy, busy days. Had a 30 day heart monitor put on me yesterday. Fortunately it's just a one-piece thing that's taped to the center of my chest - no wires.

This was ordered last Thursday from the hospitalist doctor. (I went into it, chapter and verse, here:
How are you today?).

My GP called yesterday to learn my take on what happened and explain his take on it. We talked for about 30 minutes. He'll follow up on the cardiac results when they come through in early April. In the meantime he ordered more blood tests and approved my acupuncture request. (When I fell head first in the ER I aggravated an old whiplash injury, causing neck, shoulder & headache pain. Acupuncture is the only treatment that helps alleviate the pain.)

Given that we have the kids today and tomorrow, I won't have any acupuncture or blood tests taken until early Monday.

We went to wander around the ,,,Fryburg Old Treasures Depot.

It was once a feed mill,,parts can be see.
For those that are curious .

You should be able to use that name to see some of its current inventory.

I bought a small pair of owl figures.
A paperweight shaped like a tea pot with blue iris type 'flowers ' inside.

My son is posting some of his trip pictures on Facebook.

I’d enjoy wandering around there. There was a heavy bell that I’d want; I couldn’t justify buying it. There’s no logic about why I like bells.
Heck, who needs logic, @Jules? 😁 I love ocean liners, and there's absolutely no rhyme or reason for that.

I finally got caught up on both my work and my sleep. I was assigned a long medical article, but I have a bit of breathing room with the deadline, so I will be able to meet my friends for our weekly coffee get-together tomorrow (or today, perhaps as some of you read this).

I did about 40 minutes of walking at the gym because it has been days since I've exercised. There was a film showing as part of a series I signed up for, and it's perfect "movie weather" today—cold and a freezing fog all day—but I needed the exercise more.

But best of all, I touched base with my older daugher and will be heading up to see the grandbabies in a couple of weeks! 🥳 The weather had better cooperate. If we get a late-season snowstorm—not out of the question for this area—I'm going to be very disappointed. They're all growing so fast.

After all my recent late nights I am heading to bed early with a book. Hope you all have been well. Those are some lovely photos, @hollydolly and @packleader!

@hollydolly some of your vegetable prices are “Practically free “. Your vegetable /fruit stands are more elegant than what is in my area. Yours reminds me of the ones I saw when I lived in Southern California.

@Sliverfox I have been to Fryburg but it was many years ago when I lived on the OH/PA BORDER. We had a camp in Newmansville; I will think of the name of the road when it doesn’t matter, but one direction took us right into Marionville. Used to be a lot of open vendor set ups, in Marionville, on the weekends during the summer🤠

One of the girls my son had gone to school with stopped with her husband, on their way to their youngest daughter’s softball tournament . I hadn’t seen them since 2004, so it was a great, albeit occasionally tearful, visit. They helped with a few easy things that I should be able to to myself but can’t— like get up on an 8’ step ladder to change a light bulb without blacking out🤯🤯

They had to leave late afternoon to get to the motel near where the tournament is. I sent them with the rest of the King Cake, pulled pork, BBQ sauce and sides from the best BBQ place in the area.

They want to come back for a longer visit, but that’s tough to do when you own your own business. My brother is a plumber and works for himself. He missed coming down last Fall so he may or may not make down here in a few weeks, like he wants to.

It was a great day, a peaceful country day, my dogs were well behaved, and the onery Arabian thought it was great the husband gave him forehead scritchies while he was eating😳😳

Thank you for both posts🤠🤠

I am just now getting back to this. I am going to read up on this👍👍

The PF Harris Asian Lasy Beetle spray arrived today. Great service from the company as I ordered it yesterday morning.

I was too tired after company left, so spraying where they like to come thru the seams and cracks will be my Friday night entertainment.

Thanks for that link👍👍

were you about to say something @Capt Lightning
Sorry, I got interrupted.. I was just grumbling about the two tier / postcode lottery that we live in. We even got a text from our local health center saying that due to staff shortages, they were currently unable to take requests for appointments!

Yes our fruti & veg outside of supermarkets are very reasonably priced . It helps we live in a farming area...however most market stalls don't wrap their products like that... I'm not sure why they do it there.. but most are like this stall at the town street market...

Trouble with the street market stalls is that the fruit & veg goes off very quickly.... whereas the garden centre one doesn't...

Good morning! Pictures from just outside of my kitchen. They were taken last night. I think I needed better lighting.

I stripped the linens when I first got up this morning.....before coffee even!!!! 1772804540234.gif

Sunbeams all day today, but more severe weather overnight. Skating for tomorrow was off. Then on. Then off, on, off. I guess we'll check the forecast in the morning and decide then. 🙃

I didn't know you were having heart problems Starsong..I'm afraid if it doesn't get posted on this thread then I dont see it...

I think one 'how is your day thread'' is enough for one forum... I often wonder why people start duplicate threads particularly when the original has been running for a long time...
Before retiring, I was a Cardiac Technician for 20 years. In that time, I hooked up many patients with heart monitors. (We had the 1-2 day kind.) It is very possible that @StarSong may not have a heart problem. Many times these monitors are used to rule out heart problems.

Regardless....best wishes for good results! 💗

I love seeing your pictures! You live in such a beautiful area!
I have to second this! And I would love to try a cheese scone, or any real British scone. I love to read afternoon tea menus and look at the photos. Someday!

Today we are expecting freezing rain; boo! But I am still going to head out to meet my friends for coffee. Before that, I need to get some work done. With weather like this I am always tempted to nap. 🥱

I hope everyone's day is going well.
