Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

Early morning and bored, started looking for an interesting Documentary to watch.
Found one on Joni Mitchell and starting watching.
Very good take on her career.

Liked it enough to try a few other musical Docs.

Watched ones about Frank Zappa, Fleetwood Mac, Pavarotti, ZZ Top, Hollies
Like all things, some were good and others were just so-so.

Taking a break after those and now have a list of other musical Docs I've noted for later.

I just finished binge watching all 7 seasons of Rizzoli and Isles on Netflix. I really liked it. Especially Maura Isles. I was crushing on Maura. :)

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms really caught me by surprise. While I enjoyed the first six seasons of Game of Thrones , I eventually burned out on that world and gave up on House of the Dragon after watching a couple of episodes.

However, I decided to give this new series a shot and liked it. It’s a simple, refreshing story about a lone adventurer exploring the realm, and it has a distinct 'fairy tale' feel to it. Since it’s still set in George R. R. Martin’s universe, you should expect the usual sex and violence—but if that doesn't bother you, I highly recommend it.

I'll add that I am in the middle of season 2 of The Pit. I don't want to reveal too much about it. I know people either seem to love or hate the show. I am on the side of loving it.

I don't watch the pitt cuz it's my understanding it's pretty gorey.

there's a new taylor sheridan series on paramount called marshals. i will be watching it later.

Did you see the premier of ā€œMarshall’sā€ Sunday night on CBS? It was really good. There was a surprise ending, but I will keep quiet in case you haven’t seen it yet.

Luke Grimes will be on Jimmy Fallon tonight (Tuesday). I am taping the show because (1) I won’t be awake, (2) I can field past what I don’t want to watch🤠🤠

I saw it last night. I don't have the paid subscription. Mine is free through Walmart+. It was good. I don't wanna spoil it for anyone else.

We just wrapped up City of Shadows, new to Netflix. It is set in Barcelona, so the scenery is beautiful and it centers around the Gaudi landmarks and how the city has changed over the years. It involves two detectives investigating a serial killer who is targeting successful men and setting them on fire on top of various Gaudi buildings.

It isn't for the squeamish but the motivation for the killings, revealed at the end, is a real surprise. The detectives are also multi-dimensional and well-played.

We started watching the three part miniseries on Ulysses S. Grant this evening on Prime Video. It's good, but some of the characters looked like they were AI generated, but that wouldn't be possible since it was made in 2020 before AI animation was available. They looked weird, though.

You can see what I'm talking about in this clip...

It's good, though.

We just finished that too. Parts definitely aren’t for the squeamish. I cover my eyes.

Barcelona is beautiful and the historical video interspersed made it seem like it was based on a real story.

Well done and just the right length - six episodes.
