Waffles, Pancakes, or French toast?

Pancakes, always pancakes, tho I like waffles and french toast just not as much. Also I never eat those foods at a resurant because they're always terrible.

My dad taught his pancake recipe when I was young and I've rememered it my entire life, my kids grew up eating those pancakes and I passed the recipe on to them.

would you like to pass along your dad's recipe here? ;)

Any of the three would be okay with me, except I never make them. I'm always hungriest when starting the day, and (most) always want sweets, so I cut a chunk of cake, or a piece of pie, and if I have neither on hand, then it's peanut butter on cookies (I always have those). I'm just not in the mood to prepare pancakes or cook anything early in the morning.

French toast, pancakes, and toaster waffles.

French toast and pancakes were and still are great day before payday meals.

This morning I made pancakes using 1/2 cup complete pancake mix, 1/2 t of baking powder, and a small can 8 ounce can of cream corn.

Cooked approx. 2 minutes on each side in an oiled cast iron skillet.

Made 4 nice pancakes. 🐷🐷🐷

This thread made me think of the old electric waffle makers from the 30s.

There was a sort of fad for making Sunday night waffle suppers.

The folks at Campbell’s joined in with creamed tuna and olives over waffles.

1 can Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup, 1/2 cup milk, 1 cup (7-oz) canned tuna (drained/flaked), 1/4 cup sliced stuffed olives, and 4-6 frozen waffles. In a saucepan, combine the soup and milk. Stir in the tuna and olives, heating thoroughly. Serve immediately over toasted waffles.

We used to cringe when my my grandmother would drag out her old waffle iron with the cloth covered cord, for fear that she would burn the house down, but we enjoyed her chocolate pecan waffles with vanilla ice cream and Hershey’s chocolate syrup from a can.
