Funny you should say that.. The last few days has been really hot here.. even my consultant mentioned on the phone how hot it's been ..it's just been sweltering..

I took all the winter bedding off, and it's all in the washing machine now, to get stored for summer when it's dried , and I've put the new summer bedding on.... my daughter said '' Mum it;s going to be only 15 degrees for the next few days.. better get that winter bedding back on''.. :ROFLMAO:

I'm not going to tho'...in all honesty it takes me longer and longer every time to change the bedding.. .. so I'm not going to take this all off again.. :ROFLMAO:

The dermatologist said that they had to cut very deep into my leg.. and that's why now 4 months on it's still not healing well.. so she gave me some ideas on what to do to encourage it to heal and that to to expect it to take a year !

At least I know now and it stops me worrying that something might be wrong..

It was quite amusing, my daughter had just rung me on the landline 2 minutes before .. when the hospital rang on my mobile with the results.. and so I held both phones near each other so my daughter could hear exactly what the specialist was saying.. saved me having to explain it all to her, because she always gives me a ton of questions about every medical issue...and I don't always remember.....:D

Oh, congrats on the good news!
 
Wound nurse came today. She will come three days a week.

Tomorrow an aide starts. She will help me with the tasks of my life. 5 days a week. 4 hours.
She hopefully is coming with me Tuesday when I see my surgeon. Good because I am too nervous to go alone.

They will assign me a physical therapist and occupational therapist soon.

Feel strange being with a stranger in my apartment.
 
Home Alone mostly today. Mrs Oy has Grandma duties then off with her pals to see "Inspector Morse - House of Ghosts" at The Lowery Theatre in Salford.
So - I had a two hour one to one lesson with my Tai Chi teacher in the park this morning. It was a good one. Just when I get to thinking I know this stuff he makes a few subtle changes that affect IT ALL. Love this stuff!
Then I had a walk down the Prom and along the Stone Jetty just to chill out and enjoy the Sping sunshine. Now I'm home and waiting for my favourite Indian restaurant to bring me some yummies :)

what will she do for 4 hours every day?... is that gonna be 4 hours in one chunk or spread out over the day ?

She will do laundry cleaning shopping. Accompany me outside. Light cooking.

I especially need help throwing out accumulated paper. Have tons of that.

Come with me to doctor appointments.

Hopefully I will like her. They want me to have company.

My tongue biopsy results came back, I don't have cancer, I am so thankful. It is some sort of hyperplasia so I just need to schedule another oral surgery appointment to remove the rest of the area (and the doctor said anytime in the next 6 months is fine), and then go to an annual checkup with the surgeon to keep an eye on it (apparently hyperplasia can become precancerous). Gee I hope he isn't going to chop a piece of it every year. Oh well, not cancer so anything else is just fine!

Oh thank goodess for that.... at least that's the major worry taken off your shoulders. Not pleasant to have to go through regular procedures but rather than that than let it become cancerous...🤗
 
I've just been chatting to a friend online ...who I've been friends with since I first moved to England in 1974...

he was the photographer at our wedding in '76 and had been a friend of my x husband since they were kids... so I had to pass on the sad news of my ex's death

He's lived in Sydney Australia ,and in Thailand now for some years...

He grew up in the house opposite to where I am now.. ..and I was telling him that it was up for sale.. at 3/4 of a Million.. and he said his father bought that house in the 60's for £10,000.

He went on to say he can't come back to the UK because he can't afford anywhere to live.



some years ago he sold a small house he owned in the North of England for £140,000 .. and thailand is so cheap that he's literally living off the interest of the sale of that small house.. just incredible..

Morning all, my early walk at 6:50 walked 2 blocks and turned around came back, temp was 50 with no breeze, birds were chirping
My plans today, going to weekly Fri exercise class at 10-10:45{ didn't; have it last week},see what today's lunch/dinner menu is offering
Sometime this afternoon, my niece/god daughter,Katie&,her hubby Zach,their 2 yr old son, Xavier will be coming for a brief visit. They drove yesterday from NYC, are staying with Zach's parents in Williamsville{ burb of Buffalo} The last time I saw them was last Oct,they are expecting their 2nd son 1st week in June. This will be the highlight of my day

DD just rang, and said.. mother I have a small bone to pick with you... and I said ..what have I done, she said she just had to pay £5.00 to receive a birthday card that I sent..with NO stamp on it.... :ROFLMAO: she was jokingly calling me all the senile old fogies she could muster .... :ROFLMAO:

I don't know how I forgot to put a stamp on it.... but jeez.. £5.. ridiculous.. the price of stamps is terrible enough at £2.00 per stamp.. and to charge £5.00 to recive a letter without a stamp is daylight robbery...

Anyway I'm driving up there tomorrow.. I'll give her, her fiver back lol

Good morning!

The other day, we almost got a kitten from the Humane Society. He was the right age, but.....he had more white than what we were looking for. It's Dio's turn to decide, and with all that is going on with my Mom, he thought it would be best to wait a few more weeks. Hopefully, another one will become available then, and we can get the coloring that we are looking for.

In the meantime, the weather for tomorrow keeps changing, back and forth from "sunny and warm" to "rain all day". 🤔. Right now, we are planning on going skating, subject to change in the morning! 😆

So far, not much planned for today, just yet. I'm sure I'll come up with something.
 
Good morning to everyone. It is cooler this morning at 60 degrees but will be 81 this afternoon.

I had a delivery from Walmart and received all I had ordered. A big mistake with post office as they seem to have lost a package and now the company is sending another one but will probably receive the original they say and then can keep or send back. I am wondering about the post office and their delivery of items. Most are late.
