I LOVE See’s candy (if you’ve heard of it, you know why) and I am also a social worker at heart. I am looking at stating a non profit chocolate shop in a retirement community, where the residents volunteer their time, and all profits go to a senior in need (payment for nursing home care).
Pros? Cons? Love?!?!
Thank you for considering 🙂

See's candy is such a sentimental icon for me. Raised in California, it was sold everywhere.
Grandma kept a variety box in her dresser or closet. When I would spend the nights there
she would have me come sit beside her on the bed and let me pick One piece and we'd eat together.
When I moved away I couldn't find it anywhere, what a heartbreak that was.
I think many in my age bracket and had See's for special occasions would love this idea.

Yes, certain foods remind us of special memories we shared with others. The same with some songs. When a song comes on the radio, at times I will think about what I was doing or where I was years ago. It's cool 😎

Are you planning for See’s to donate the chocolate? Is that why you mention them?
How will you pick the recipient?
