My Cologuard test came back positive,

I'm hoping it's a false positive. But I will have to get a colonoscopy to find out. I had an issue with Hemorrhoids a while back. That can cause a false positive. I thought I had fixed the problem with them under control with Preparation H Suppositories, but now I hoping there was still enough of them around to cause this. Needless to say I'll be holding a tight asshole waiting for the results of that colonoscopy.

I sure hope everything is fine, it maybe be one polyp they can remove while having that done.
They can remove them during the procure. Hang in there Trade .

A couple years ago my Cologuard test came positive. I got the colonoscopy and it was ok, to be repeated in 10 years. But, A biopsy tested positive for microscopic colitis. I take IBguard and MiraLax when needed. I hate the colonoscopy prep!

The Cologuard test kits are notorious for giving false positive results. Happened recently to a gym/Yoga friend. She got a colonoscopy and all checks out OK.

I found this to be true as well.

I would be more concerned over the test results at 40 than at 70.

Get checked out before you waste any more time worrying.

My Cologuard test yielded a false positive finding as well.
The colonoscopy showed no cancer or precancerous evidence.
The surgeon told me I won't need another colonoscopy for the next 10 years.
I'll be 83 then. I think I'll decline.
But I will eat a healthy diet.

I had read that you shouldn’t use the test if you have hemorrhoids because you can have trace amounts of blood that trigger a false positive result.

If a very stage 'Colon Cancer' detection after Colonoscopy, it's curable.
A friend had Colon Cancer in her 60s and 'Cancer survivor.'
Now, she is at age 80, there is no trace of any cancer and in good health.

Do they put you to sleep while doing this or do you have to be awake? If they find anything abnormal do they deal with it then?

Not unless you want them to.

Whelp, that's it for me; I'm out.

I told my doc I'm not doing anymore colonoscopies, so the last two times she wanted to know what was up my butt, she sent me the Cologuard test kit.

After reading this thread, I'm not doing that anymore either.
