Do You Wear Bright Colours?

Bright colors? Yes.

I have two of them in each color and one in dark blue. They are more than two decades old. I wear them from fall to spring. At the moment I wear a polo shirt with wide light blue and white stripes.

Within the next few weeks I'll change to sleeveless women's shirts in the same blue color as above and in green or emerald together with short blue jeans shorts.

I do like a man whose not afraid of Red. In the UK men are terrified of red on the whole... but on the continent men are happy to wear reds, even pinks....

Do you wear the sleeveless women’s shirts because you can’t get the vibrant colours in men’s clothing. I haven’t noticed as many bright colours for men.

My husband’s doctor commented on the lime green cardigan (aka jumper) that I wore to the appointment. He said that’s the brightest colour he’d ever seen. It wasn’t said in a positive way. He’s noticed other things I’ve worn and liked them. I didn’t have a chance to comment back. It’s strange that he says anything, because time is tight and there’s no personal chitchat.

If you wear bright clothes, do people say anything?

I like bright things, so I’ll keep on wearing them.
No, I wish I could but they would wear me!

I'm surprised that your male doctor is commenting about your clothes! And to insinuate something uncomplimentary is just rude.
I love bright colors. I'm so glad we left the era of overweight people feeling like we needed to wear dark colored clothes. I love lime green, as evidenced by my thread:
Lime Green Looks Good On Everybody/Everything? Post Lime Green Pics

But I only had lime green summer pants until my Honorary Daughter gave me a T-shirt last year. I haven't worn it yet, so don't know if it will make it as one of my favorite color for clothes, however. I love corals, red-oranges, mint green, hot pink and other bright neon colors. I look good in those colors. Here's one of my favorite blouses.....I've had it since I was in my early 20s. I still get compliments on it. People think its silk (even my sister, the fashion guru), but it's a good polyester. I love it because after I wash it, I never have to iron it and it feels so good against my skin.

A friend of mine, who absolutely owns being curvy, has said the same thing. When she was growing up, all the women in her family wore dark colours because, they were bigger ladies and thought dark clothes would make them look smaller. My wonderful friend decided she was never going to try and make herself smaller. Her clothes match her personality, bright, confident and stylish. I couldn't imagine her wearing dark clothes.

This is one of the reasons. The other is my for a man ample chest. Women's shirts just fit better in this case.
Im the opposite of you. I wear mostly mens shirts now. Im tall and womens shirts are too short.
I could work with short when I was young and thin and could tuck things in.
A lot of womens shirts dont have collars and I prefer shirts with collars.
Also I can buy green ones cheap at Goodwill. :D

The only difference between mens and womens shirts is what side they button on.
Once theyre buttoned up nobody can tell unless they be oogling your chest.

In fact my women's sleeveless shirts don't have collars. But I don't need them. And they are t-shirts without buttons. Since temperatures in summer can be for several weeks more than 40 C (104 F), I like thin wide shirts.

Face to face most people don't notice that much but from the side it is visible.

I don't care. I am wearing medical compression pantyhose since the year 2000 in public with short shorts and don't care, thus why should I care if somebody spots my breasts of size 38 C?

104 F? When it gets high 70's I lock myself inside with the AC. I absolutely totally hate the heat.
