Help/Advice needed badly

If you have a pet buy that pet a Cubbies bandana, then you husband has another fan to share is joy with.🙂
(whispering here) um, we talking Cubs here, by the time I buy it and get it home if I can find one here,
the cubs will probably do their cubbie thing, you know what I mean? Poor guy he is such a devoted fan.
I hope they carry it through though, it's all he is talking about right now.

My sister faced this dilemma a long time ago. My brother-in-law was an avid Yankees fan and she couldn't have cared less. One day she watched a game on TV with him, then another. She got hooked. She became a knowledgeable fan and it was something they enjoyed together.

I'm not saying it will work for you but it's worth a try. Baseball is a weird thing; it really captivates some people and leaves others stone cold.

That's hard because I'm no good at pretending to enjoy something I don't. But then, I don't want anyone doing that for me either. Maybe watch a game with him once in awhile to support his passion without necessarily sacrificing your own enjoyment.

One day I walked in just as they hit a homer to take the lead and he excitedly said... go out and come back in when I call
you, maybe it will happen again. :ROFLMAO: He's so wanting them to win he will grab a good luck charm where ever he can.

I grew up a Dodgers fan due to my grandma, Ron Cey, Willy Davis, Bill Buckner, Steve Garvey since her passing I just can't seem to get back into it. I enjoy going to games but on TV or radio it gives me headaches from the background noise.

Sounds like a good idea ^ 😁🤣
I asked him if he could have something to eat that he loves from Chicago for a game what would it be?
He said Gyros but of course. I do buy him the frozen Home Run Inn pizza's that are out of Chicago. Only ones he will eat now.
He doesn't like deep dish.
I may find really true Greek gyros in the area of St Louis called The Hill over an hours drive away.
You can't fool a born and raised Chicago man about the taste of real Chicago food. I tried several times to make home made
Italian Beef sandwiches, he always says "It's close and really good, not quite there yet"
I may order a Cubs t-shirt and some pom poms and call it success. :ROFLMAO:

How do I pretend I am thrilled that hubby's beloved Chicago Cubbies have the best record in the league now?
I am not a lover of daily seasonal sports and he is soooooo proud of them and has no one to share his joy with
here in Mo. being a St Louis lovers area.
Lord help me - all he has is me.
It's sooo hard! o_O
Do this dance but with another T shirt.

I feel the same way. I lived in NYC in the 70s and was a huge fan of the Reggie Jackson-Ron Guidry-Graig Nettles Yankees. After I got married and had kids I just didn't have time and lost interest.
