How do I pretend I am thrilled that hubby's beloved Chicago Cubbies have the best record in the league now?
I am not a lover of daily seasonal sports and he is soooooo proud of them and has no one to share his joy with
here in Mo. being a St Louis lovers area.
Lord help me - all he has is me.
It's sooo hard!

(whispering here) um, we talking Cubs here, by the time I buy it and get it home if I can find one here,
the cubs will probably do their cubbie thing, you know what I mean? Poor guy he is such a devoted fan.
I hope they carry it through though, it's all he is talking about right now.

Wait a while and Cubs won't be the best. Season is early yet, and anything can happen. St. Louis is the longtime hated rival team, so he will find no support there. Cardinal and Cub fans don't get along.

My sister faced this dilemma a long time ago. My brother-in-law was an avid Yankees fan and she couldn't have cared less. One day she watched a game on TV with him, then another. She got hooked. She became a knowledgeable fan and it was something they enjoyed together.

I'm not saying it will work for you but it's worth a try. Baseball is a weird thing; it really captivates some people and leaves others stone cold.
