What have you bought recently?

I saw this fridge magnet... I don't generally have magnets on my fridge but I'm tempted with this one...

Regarding Skechers, I recently ordered 3 pairs off Amazon.

The other correct shoe was Skechers Brand...

When I first developed plantar fasciitis about a year ago, I bought the ladies version in a light grey/beige color. I was desperate for relief and luckily found it with these. It was like walking on a cloud.

While comfy, they're not cute enough for me to wear in public so I moved to the Skechers arch fit slip-on laced shoes. Equally padded and they better match my personal style.

I wear the beige ones when exercising and sometimes around the house if I'm not in (well-padded) slippers.

The plantar fasciitis was quite painful for at least 6 months with mornings being particularly bad. One foot continues to bother me. Not terrible, but enough that I continue wearing well-cushioned footwear at all times.

Since I first posted about my recent shoe purchase and @hollydolly said that the Slip-Ons were preferable to the Slip-Ins, I have been wearing the Kisik (note: not the Skechers) Slip-Ons around the house and I must say I'm really feeling the difference in terms of comfort and maintaining balance.

I bought the Kisik Slip-Ons just because I thought they were a nicer look than what I was seeing in Skechers. Now this unforeseen benefit of comfort from the sole is a pleasant surprise. Oh, the simple joys in life.

I also bought comression ankle socks when I had the PF.. and I found them to be really helpful first thing in the morning when the pain was awful... and before i put my skechers on for the day...fortunately I quikly disovered the suhion sole style of skehers whih gave me blessed relief from pain... ..andd like you @StarSong , I probably suffered for about 6 months... but still had to work on my feet all day... however, I only get occasional twinges now.. and I put it down to wearing skecher or ushion trainers of some type every day ...

if I wear my boots with a heel or shoes in fact..I feel pain within an hor or 2 of wearing...

I just looked up my orders on amazon... and see that it was 2016 that I was suffering..10 years ago... so that's exactly when I first discovered skehers for the first time..and for the first 2 years I bought about 6 pairs in case they stopped making them, lol

6 or 7 years ago I bought a pair of Skechers and found them very comfortable and light. Twice I tripped in them the second time going down hard, I threw them away. I went and looked at reviews and found this an issue with others. Whether I don’t pick up my feet? As my mum was always telling me who knows but I advise do your research. I wear Clark’s or reiker, when one is older we need comfort on our feet and sometimes we do not always get it right the first time.

Me too @RobinWren. I tripped a couple of times. I know several people who also said the same thing. I am pretty sure mine were Go Walk.

I bought some bedding - a duvet cover set, sheets and pillowcases. I usually buy white sheets/pillowcases but, they had some really nice colours so, I bought some to go with the duvet sets we have. I also bought some sugar soap for washing down paintwork and some strawberries and ice cream. :)

So, always been a book person, but for the sake of my eyes and the sheer convenience of having so many books at my fingertips - I got a Kindle Paper White.

The Paperwhite is the best kindle for reading apparently.. I 've had one for many years....I still prefer hardback books, but when my hands are hurting , or when I go on holiday the Kindle is an absolute God send

A little pair of earrings. Different than I usually wear. I didn’t need them but still feel bad about a pair that I lost one earring last fall. Now I need to go somewhere.

A shirt for my husband. If I didn’t buy his clothes, I swear he’d be living in rags. ”it’s still good.” If you can’t walk in a store and immediately take it off the rack, there’s nothing to buy. Heaven forbid that you would look at anything else. The sales lady said she won’t shop with her husband; he has to look at everything. She stays in the car.

I have had probably 12 or more different pairs of Skechers.. almost everyone I know wears skechers..NO-ONE has tripped up because of the skechers..that's crazy!
When Skechers first came into being in the early 90s, they had very high soles. Loved them because they were very comfy gave me more height, but like most platform shoes they increased my trip-and-fall frequency so I had to stop wearing them.

This may have been before they were available or popular in the UK.

I've never seen that style of skecher here

That's too bad. I guess they're just not the shoes for you.
I bought some charcoal skechers two years ago and love them
This year I bought a tan pair of the easy on type and love them more. I was at the Skechers outlet and they had BOGO 50% so I got a dark denim pair and a kind of off black dressier pair. I love them all.

...I'm the same as you, I buy from the skechers store, here and abroad. In Seville Spain I got skechers there in the skechers store for 1/2 the price they charge for them in the store here.. I was delighted.

I do buy from the sports store as well here in the UK.. they tend to always have a sale on.. I would never pay more than £50 for a pair, I think once the prices get higher than that they're not worth it... they're not like shoes in that they would last a lifetime....
