Me too! And some days, I can put my palms on the floor. But those days are few and far between now!Well I can still do squats & able to touch my toes with knees straight.

I tell you what I do to keep my already very strong legs... strong.. and that is whenever I find myself standing waiting for anything..kettle boiling etc.. I stand on one leg without holding onto anything for the count of 60 seconds.. and then the other for the same amount of time.. It helps with strength, and balanceThere are chair based exercises that can help seniors regain strength and the ability to squat. Squating is very important for mobility and balance.
Yesterday I did a simple leg workout, 5 sets / 10 reps deep barbell squats. My legs and butt are a little sore, but in a good way.
I also sit in a squatting position everyday for a minimum of 30 minutes, usually while outside hanging out with my beloved last surviving chicken who is 11 years old. Since February Trixie has been laying 4 or 5 eggs a week
.
My father could do that palms on the floor thing right until he was old...Me too! And some days, I can put my palms on the floor. But those days are few and far between now!
Check under the couch for lost items?I never get hurt when I fall over, (it is more like tipping over), but what could I do that would be constructive when I am face down in the carpet?
I am here by myself and it still a little embarrassing.

Yes, even a mishap can be productiveCheck under the couch for lost items?
I've been tempted.. but concerned I may not be able to get back up again..This thread made me check if I can still do it and I can.
I do the same thing. I don't have to, but I try to be more cautious as I get older. I don't want to break my neck or break any bones.Added to the fact that I have to go up and down stairs one step at a time like a little kid.
That could be because many Asians are brought up using squat toilets.I notice that Asian people squat quite easily. My neighbour is Vietnamese and she goes down on her haunches without any difficulty. and stays there for any amount of time, then bounces up again. She was helping me with some weeding and did. it very quickly.

Thats looks awful to me, I forsee all sorts of accidents. That could be because many Asians are brought up using squat toilets.
Things definitely wouldn’t end well, for me, if that was my only option.

Just grin confidently, Coconut. Never surrender your dignity because the first time is the hardest, right?I never get hurt when I fall over, (it is more like tipping over), but what could I do that would be constructive when I am face down in the carpet?
