I watched it @RambleTamble on Hulu earlier...thank you for posting it.

Why the cake?...I think because CBS sent the cake to Colbert...and why not...the cake looked like an unused wedding cake.

Letterman used to be great, now just an old fool. I’ve never watched Stephen Colbert nor any of the late night shows of late. They’re all bums compared to the greatest, Johnny Carson.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was the number one late-night talk show in total viewers for nine consecutive seasons. I've never watched an entire show, but I regularly would watch the opening monologue on YouTube, and the things he said in opening monologue are what did him in. CBS said it was because he was paid too much, but we all know it was due to his politics.

I always thought Letterman was a bit off. Some nights, he would have a good show. On other nights, it seemed like the producers couldn’t get any big name to come on his show.

That's right. There will never be another Carson. Also Carson didn't play favorites with politics. He was pretty neutral on that.

Rarely watched. When I did, I found little of value in his show. Entertainment or information, nothing had much value, IMO.

Those who watch the program will likely be delighted by the circle jerk fest that will be his last night's lineup.

Yeah, Johnny Carson was a good guy. Although he didn't get into politics on his show, privately, he opposed the Vietnam War and capital punishment, while supporting racial equality and liberalized abortion and divorce laws.

Nobody cares about Letterman’s political beliefs, especially after he was busted grooming interns on his show. (You’re never caught the first time btw, nope!) He’s a sicko too, just like many in D.C. Go out with something you used to be good at Dave, laughs.
