Reflections of My Life

My laundry is almost all dry. I had to move it from the shower so I could use the shower. I have it hanging all over the place. With two fans on and the AC they are drying good. I figured out it would save me $18. a month if I dry my clothing by hanging in my apartment. That would be $216 a year if I continue to do it. It saves my clothing too. I would only dry the bedding and towels. I am going to try to do this. Since I am feeling much better now I think it is possible.

I am also switching from some name brands to store brands. No matter what people think about Walmart..........I am a Walmart girl! It is the best store in our area and if they don't have something in stock they will get it from another store or warehouse and ship it to me. Besides I am not that fussy anymore. It is just the prices of some of the name brands I was using are just too much. Not that I can't afford them but why pay more for the same item due to its name?

I have a therapy appointment this afternoon. I can't wait to see Lexy, my therapist. I purchased a contraption for putting the compression stockings on. The one I was using was not for strong compression. Just regular socks I think. So she and I looked at the various models online the last time I was there. I have not taken it out of the package yet. I want her to show me how to use it properly.

I have not put on the new compression stockings at all because I am not strong enough to put them on. I hope this will work. They felt so good but I had a horrible time getting them off. I almost called 911 because when I got them down to my ankle I could not get them off. Had to really work on it and felt like they were strangling my ankle!

I no longer need to go to the laundromat to do laundry (except to do large blankets, once/year), but a friend still does. She said she spent $40 this week. One washer load was $4.50! Ouch!
Our washers are $2.50. Dryers are $2.25. Does not sound like much but I do 2 loads a week. Unless I get behind like I am now. Then it goes to 3. From now on I am not going by the day of the week to do it. If I have 2 dirty nightgowns it is the day to do laundry.

I just bought new compression socks and they are very tight. I almost can't get them off.

I watched this video first.

Then talked to my therapist and she recommended this type of tool also. I bought it on Amazon.

Tool for Removing Compression Stockings

I will let you know how well it works after I learn to use these.
My mother had trouble with compression stockings and couldn’t get used to those tools.

She had best results lying flat on her back in bed and drawing her leg up to her chest then working the stocking on over her foot and up her leg.

Keep at it until you find the best solution for your situation.

I cannot do that. No way could I bring my leg up to my chest. I think I can master using this tool with my therapist's help. She didn't want me to try it on my own before coming there. So I didn't. Still in the packaging.

One of my biggest problems is stretching the stocking to fit my foot into the opening. And then over the heel. Once I get that far I can do it. I told Lexy she needs to come to my house twice a day! :D

I have been confused about this AI thing. I end up using pictures that are AI. Not so much by choice but that is all that is available anymore. This explains all the senior citizens living alone videos lately. I thought I was seeing them because YT knows my age or something I clicked on.
