No more pictures for a week, I promise. But this morning, I had such a wonderful hike that I have to share it with you.
My buddies (self-exposure) ..........................................................Hiking down into the canyon where a creek runs. It's a jungle at the bottom.


I wish I could bring my family here for a picnic. It's my favorite spot, and I rested for some time ... dreaming.

Generally, I don't let the pups walk off-leash because of coyotes. My pups are almost twice as heavy but can't match their ferocity.
There are no mountain lions in our closer area, no bears, but I am watching out for rattle snakes. Otherwise, it's safe to hike.


@MarkD --- Coyotes in our area weigh about 40 pounds, but with their thick fur they look larger. They do attack larger dogs. But what I
am really afraid of is: they lure dogs into chasing them till dogs are exhausted and then kill them. Coyotes have more stamina than dogs.
