What is your Gender?

A simple question, or is it?

I filled in a form on line a few months ago and had to select
my gender from a drop down menu, I thought that it was funny
when I was given 3 choices:- Male, Female, Other, this made me
laugh.

Then I read in the newspaper a couple of days ago that teenage
school children were given a Government survey to complete,
they were given 25, yes twenty five choices of genders to choose
from.

I think that the "Politically Correct" brigade are going too far!

Full Story Here

Scroll to the bottom for the list, the 25 choice is "Other".

Mike.

I have to admit I had a bit of a chuckle over seeing so many choices on a few applications. I mean I've always been more butch than the typical gal. But I always want to smell amazing...so is that a female trait or possibly male? But I'd rather go out and fix the truck than discuss feelings...I don't feel it's too politically correct. It would just be less confusing to have:
Male
Female
Unspecified or N/A

Wanting to smell amazing has more to do with successful cosmetic marketing than any innate traits that a person would have.

I always assumed what gender you were born.

Female
Male

Then I grew up and learned that, that question is not so simple to answer for everyone.

I used to enjoy "smelling amazing"(am male) but my allergies are soooo much more manageable <sp?> without using scented products.

Gender? Imps have none. Sexually A-sexual. How could I answer? A discriminatory status aimed at eliminating imps! I'll take my case to the United Nations! imp

I am a tom boy. I have never been overly feminine, I am not interested in clothes or pretty things, or having close woman friends. I disliked dolls as a kid and liked playing with more masculine toys. Having said that I am completely heterosexual and have been married to my husband for 47 years this year.
