There's a numbered series by Janet Evanovich. I think she's up to the 22nd one by now. The main character, Stephanie Plum, is a bounty hunter who has the most insane adventures with her sidekick Lula. They are hysterically funny and hold-your-breath exciting at the same time.

You can probably get them at your library (free is good!), but be sure to start with "One For The Money" and read them in order so that they'll make sense.

The best thing about these books is that they are entertaining. Being entertained for free is great. There's nothing to ponder, no mind-numbing social commentary, nothing at all except downright fun entertainment.

The worst thing about these books is that they make me want to stay up all night reading. When that happens, I sleep so late that I miss morning, the best part of the day.

I know the books! I just haven't gotten around to them yet, but after that great review for Evanovich, I'll give one a go ok?? Thank you Georgia;) denise

I checked these out on Amazon, Denise. Looks like something I might enjoy. Only problem is, they are not a free read like most of my books are. They are rather pricey. I have Prime and my books are free as long as I return one.

You can download either Kindle for PC or Nook for PC and check them out of the library Pappy!! It's called library2go.com and it is all free. As long as you have a library card. Also, I can share books I've bought "digital" copies 1 time with someone. That means I can transfer it to your Reader for you to have, these are books I've bought now. But library2go is wonderful, but like all counties will have some of the books I love, and some won't.

Write me a pm and I can give you all the info if you like. hugs, denise

This is for pappy, or anyone wanting to get familiar with library2go, I use it constantly. The library in Coos County Oregon, that I still have my card to, has 3 pages of 24 books each of Janet Evanovich. Here's just a snip where you can see at the bottom left how many there are. You don't have to have a reader, you can use your pc/laptop/Ipad, even your phone to read books from the library. All it takes is your library card #, and it checks the book out, download it to your device, and the library automatically retrieves it when due date is up. You can put books on hold if they are checked out, and it automatically checks it out to you when you are next in line. I'll explain every aspect if anyone wants to know:

I did forget to mention, some books are just in audio form, but some are "reads".

In upper right you will see a tiny book icon, or headphone. You can use search criteria to only choose "reads" or audios;)
