Feels like it's been a long, cold winter, except it wasn't all that long and never got very cold. It's just that I'm wave horny. But a hodad buddy of mine asked me to go surfing with him tomorrow. Sweet. So we're heading for Half-Moon at sunrise. Kowabunga dudes n hunnies!

Have fun Wrigley's! We watched a lot of surfers years back in Hawaii enjoying the huge waves of the "Pipeline", they were all having a ball!

Have fun!

(Now you have got me wanting to move the beach all over again, just when I was deciding I can't afford to ... :) )

And I'm hearing the theme from "The Endless Summer" in my head now ...

Hang ten, dude!

One question ... what is a "hodad"?

I've been variously referred to as a "Dad" and even as a "ho", but ...

lol!

In the old days a hodad was someone who hung out at the beach but didn't surf. But nowadays a hodad also refers to a student surfer. That's my friend. I've been teaching him, which makes me a hodad-daddy....not to be confused with hodaddy, which is a non-surfer who poses as a surfer.

It used to be a pretty simple language. It's a lot more *diverse* now.

Conditions were chuf today. :encouragement:

I hope you had fun :)

It was a blast! A good crowd, but not too big. Most of us met up afterward at the Half-Moon Bay Brewery for crab and beer.
Should be a good crowd of experienced surfers out there this weekend but I've got to do some work on that empty unit.

Waves were only about shoulder high this morning and got flatter toward afternoon. Should bee some nice tubes this weekend but, sadly, I won't be there. (work!work!work! )
