In view of what has recently been revealed about Russian atheletes why not even the score and allow doping of all World Class atheletes, but only if it could be medically proven that there would be no permanent or life threatening damage. What the hell---we might see a whole bunch of World Records smashed.

It would be a medically enhanced individual breaking those records and not a traditional athlete. There would have to be a foot note accompanying those records.

Athletes have been doing drugs probably as long as there have been competitions with prizes. Every time someone figures out a test to detect them, someone else develops a new undetectable drug.

One has to ask what is an athlete? To me an athlete uses skill, technique, form, training and motivation to compete. Is an individual using chemicals a true or as good athlete.

I don't know if there is a definitive answer.

Yes! Take the money men out of so-called "sport". If a tenth of a second can mean $10,000 how can anybody be blamed for doing all they canto get it?

That's why I like American Football. No crap about triumph and effort and achievement, but just pure and dimple loyalty to the six million dollar pay check, we both know what it's all about, and good luck to them.

These are not sportsmen (and women), they are paid, and very well paid, entertainers.

Sport is what takes place in tens of thousands of parks across the world veery Saturday morning with Moms, Dads, spouses, girl/boy friends screaming their heads off!

Is an athelete taking mega doses of supplemental vitamins a true and good athelete?

Vitamins and nutrition are part of an athletic training regime and required by the body in general for everyone.

Taking extra vitamins and working harder on nutrition everyone has access to is not the same as someone using/going to a doctor for prescribed substances.
