Migrants Linked To 69,000 Crimes First Quarter 2016-Germany

Not to be rude, but really, why are you telling us this? I don't think any of us live in Germany, and this is the sort of thing we could see on TV if we wanted to.

Why is that so many boards turn into quasi-news bulletin services? I thought forums were supposed to be about "meeting" people and exchanging experiences and ideas. Instead there are more and more "news" bulletins -- not always from reliable sources -- and more and more sniping at each other's political and religious beliefs.

No community in that, just a bunch of unhappy people.

It is posted under the Current NEWS and Hot Topics section of these forums first and foremost. There are posters from Europe on these boards. And events anywhere in the world could affect the US or Canada, be an indicator of things to come or show our situation is not unique.

To top it off there are things one can do like ignore, bypass, overlook, skim, read it and/or add their own two cents. Better yet chose to read one of the dozen or so other threads on this forum alone.

In many ways we already live in a global village. This will only increase over time. I've always enjoyed the diversity of topics available on this forum. Something for everyone. I think keeping apprised of world events is helpful in remaining current. I

don't wish to live in a bubble, too isolationist. I also enjoy robust debate, and I am definitely not an unhappy person-especially lately!

Germany. Migrants committed or tried to commit 69,000 crimes during the first quarter of 2016.

http://www.aol.com/article/2016/06/...ld-be-or-actual-crimes-in-germany-i/21391290/

Migrants from the North Africa region disproportionately represent criminal suspects. 1/3 of 1st quarter crime includes theft of some kind 28%, bodily harm 23%. A majority of migrants did not commit crime.

The biggest problem we're having is with "political correctness". DEMOCRACY is suppose to be the freedom to vote for political representatives who support the view of "the majority" of citizens. But these politicians are lying to us. The New Year's Eve mass rape epidemic in Köln was not reported and it was only by way of a leak that the events became known to the public. That incident (particularly the "cover up") had people gasping. THEN, because of the real story, it was discovered that a similar incident happened in my country too ... and was also covered up .... not during New Year's Eve .... but several months prior - last summer! Excuses upon excuses (with righteous noses in the air) were made about not wanting to cause alarm. Alarm? They don't think we need to know what is going on? Should we continue to send our daughters out in the evening to enjoy our respective, cultural expression, straight into the clutches of gang-rape gangs, because it POLITICALLY INCORRECT to mention the "M" word - Migrants?

The fundamental point is that if DEMOCRACY is to function properly we must know what is going on. We must know the truth. We vote for those who we believe represent us, or that is the idea anyway. Ought present politicians in parliament be allowed continue lying to us for the benefit of ... what was that again ... so that they can remain in power? Isn't that what we call CORRUPTION when it happens in Africa, Asia, and the Americas? No thanks. I want to know the truth so that my vote will count for something. THAT IS DEMOCRACY.

I saw stories of migrant crime and cover up well before these stories started making it public. If I had posted then I would've been berated as a conspiracy theorist or racist. But you are absolutely correct. Democracy is a two way street between government and the citizens. The 'new citizens' need to remember this when living with the existing citizens as well. The most troubling thing is the attempt of these European governments to cover these crimes up. And not emphasize the importance of controlled/legal immigration AND assimilation into the existing culture.

To top it off what does transplanting a huge portion of any country's population accomplish. Wether Europe, North Africa or South America when measuring these 'urgent' or crisis mass migrations in years, not months or days it's time to fix problems at THE source.

Yes, you "would have been". We still are today.

... what does transplanting a huge portion of any country's population accomplish.
Well, those still in power keep telling us, "immigration has always been a good thing and has help to build the nation". This argument (when taken it its proper perspective) is rather childish. It's like saying the internal combustion engine has helped to modernize the world ... so let's forget this notion of the electric car." Immigration was a God-send when we were in dire need of a larger and more diverse work force. Today, we've got unemployment figures through the roof. Only one political party has dared challenge the department of immigration as contributing to the nose-dive of our economy (not to mention sky-rocketing crime) and, well, you know, this party is under a constant barrage of insults, being called ...... wait for it ....... racists.

..... it's time to fix problems at THE source.
This is exactly what that one party has been suggesting ALL THE TIME. Right from the start.

I work with refugees, Syrian ones. Muslims. Out of gratitude to our giving them a new home, many of these people, around the country, none of them rich, have offered money from their own business profits, or banded together to provide needed goods

to those bereft by the recent catastrophic events in Fort McMurray. They know all too well what it is like to lose everything. Of course, sensationalism sells. In Canada, you don't have to "assimilate," just "participate." It works for us.

Shali, what's the UKIP?
The United Kingdom Independence Party. Independent in the sense of being non-EU Dependent. Out of the EU. Stop the Islamification of Britain, etc. A decidedly nationalist movement.
