Took a walk through the garden, picked some peas, we havesmall pumpkins and squash, radishes are coming one and the potatoes have flowers…..thatcan mean only one thing……winter is coming.
 

I'm not a summer person, so it's okay that winter is coming....but like a good long fall first! Great that you have fresh veggies to enjoy, do you do your own canning?
 
Wouldn't mind a little winter myself right now - it's in the 90's!
 

I don't like either summer or winter. Both have their uncomfortable periods. Like in summer, I have to mow; in winter, I have to shovel. I spent 15 months in Cuba. Everyday was the same. 80 in the day, 70 at night. And I bitched that I missed the seasons changing.

I did the same this morning....Picked a dozen nice cucumbers, 50+ grape tomatoes, and a big sack of green beans. If all the cantaloupe flowers turn into fruit, I will be taking dozens of those to the neighbors and the old folks home in town.

A bit premature, we haven't finished with winter yet, still got some weeks to go.

 
Tell us something we don't know -- true enough, winter will eventually be here again, -- in the future -- the future. Now it is still summer and then fall, my favorite season.
 
Winter is when the roads are jammed with tourists and snowbirds.
