I am 71 years old and feel great. I moved to the D.R. from Canada about 11 years ago and enjoying life to the fullest.
I plan on living beyond 120 years in good health.

Hi Doug, welcome to Senior Forums! Glad you're making the most of your life, and wishing you many more years to come! :welcome:

Hi Doug, we're glad to have you. I've heard of moving south to retire, but you really moved south. I've heard it's beautiful as can be and hope you're loving the great temps year round.

You're going to love this board, great group of people. Jump right in and make yourself at home.:)

Hi Doug.

Why did you move from Canada to the Dominican Republic?
That sounds like a major shift to me, but as Diwundrin said, we hear very little about DI over here.
I'm looking forward to hearing more of your posts.

I retired at 53 years old and went sailing when I got to the Dominican Republic I found I could live there very reasonably. With my pension it was a choice to go back to Canada and have to find a job because my pension was not that great or live like a king in the D.R. choice was easy
