Watching this old movie now and the thought struck me how beautiful some of these earlier actors were. They were all unique, not like the plastic Barbie and Ken clones that seem to abound these days.
Consider the looks of men like Gary Cooper, Jeffrey Hunter and Gary Cooper and women such as Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren and Ava Gardner. Each one straight of limb and fresh of face and not at all plastic.
I really enjoy watching the old movies where their youthful beauty is forever preserved and somehow, knowing that they, like me, were subject to the aging process makes my own decay less distressing. We were all young and lovely once, just as they were.
