Facebook Online Garage Sale

The same woman always responds to my ads on FB, but just says "Interested". She doesn't follow-up or add to that comment. Just saying "Interested" doesn't tell me much. I have answered her indicating something along the lines of "what day and time would you like to come and look?", but she doesn't reply. What do you think her game is?

I doubt she has a "game," (what kind of a "game" could she have?) but is probably a bit interested but doesn't want to be pinned down. I know that when someone tries to pin me down to something I may or may not want to do, I back off fast. I hate to be pushed.

Many people are understandably reluctant to go into an unknown person's home to look at things. I wouldn't do it without a male companion. There are too many stories about people going to look at something on Craigs list or other such and winding up dead. I also would not let strange people in my home if I were alone there.

Maybe in my years of the work I did I saw too many terrible things happen to unsuspecting people, especially women alone with a stranger.

Look at it from the bright side, when she replies "interested", it bumps your ad to the top!!! 001.gif

I think she is using "interested" as a "like" button and has no real interest in buying anything.

Why doesn't she just say "Like" or use the "like" icon? "Interested" to me implies that she is interested in buying. The only thing I can figure is that maybe she is using an incorrect word - "Interested" instead of "Interesting".

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. The more pressure you put on anyone to do anything, the less likely they will be to do it, or buy it.
