I'm 77, and have had back surgeries, which damaged nerves in right leg and ruined calf muscle. I still have servere DDD. I stretch daily, exercise 3-4 times a week, yoga once a week and golf twice a week. I was once a VERY good golfer, and have shot my age since 72. On off days, I try to hit 20-30 balls, but that tires me easily. I'm thinking I do all the right things for my health, but aging is rearing its ugly head!

The ugly head 0f aging, you are so right. I am 82 and 10 years ago I was walking 18 holes and carrying my bag twice a week, Scuba Diving to 100 feet. playing Pickle Ball on a regular basis. Now my main physical activity is walking and not far at that. Fortunately I don't need a cane or walker yet but that's coming soon I know.

Old age is not for sissies, Bill. Sounds like you get around a lot despite your health problems. Welcome to the Forums.

Hi Bill! Sorry to hear you have such serious health issues, old age is not always easy but much better than the alternative. :)

It is a silly thing to say but I will say it anyway - I feel your pain (of course I dont feel "your" pain but I do know what back pain can be like - I'm told there are worse injuries but I suspect not many).

I am envious of your skills as a golfer and applaud your efforts to carry on (though cant advise whether its helping you or not).

As the others have said, welcome to the forum.

Bill - Aloha & E Komo Mai from the Big Island of Hawaii. Personally, I suck at golf, and the only way I will ever shoot my age is if I live to be a 105, and don't get worse than I am now...

AS for hitting 20-30 balls, that's just the first 3 holes for me
