Hi Marie5656! Brrr. I can't imagine how cold it must be up there. It's 30 here right now. Around this time last night it was 60! I kid you not. lol. We got lost in Rochester a few years back. I can't even remember where it was but it was the first time we used a GPS system. It was pathetic and very funny. The GPS told us to do something like make a right after going over this bridge. We did. Then it said to make another right. We did and it sent us back to where we just came from. So, we did it again. And again! lol. We finally turned the thing off and looked at a map. Whenever I here Rochester I'm back in that car going over and over that bridge. lol. Nice to meet you fellow New Yorker. :)

Hello Hoot N Annie and Radish Rose! Oh Radish Rose it's brrrrr cold over here too. It was almost 20 this morning so a little warmer than your morning. lol. We're just sitting around waiting for the blizzard. It's especially sad for me because we have a colony of feral cats in the back yard and my heart breaks for them during these bitter cold and snowy times. They have their little houses and they're welcome to come in our house but only 1 is brave enough to do that.

Hoot N Annie, have you always lived in paradise? lol. If I wasn't so terrified of flying your state is the first place I'd visit. I hope you both had a good day and a nice evening. Thanks everyone for such a warm and friendly welcome!
 
Hi RubyK! You look kind of familiar to me. Have I seen you around the kitchen? Or, have I mistaken you for someone else? Patty Pan is my name on this board. However I'm aka Widdle in another chat room. Thank you for the welcome and maybe, just for fun, we can take a road trip sometime. lol.

Maggiemae, thank you for the welcome. I already am enjoying it here. I love the Dolly Parton quote. I Love Dolly too. I was at one of her concerts in Manhattan. It was in the 70s'. I was surprised at how short she is. All that talent packed into such a little package. There were all these drag Queens dressed up like her. Some of them very, very good. She looked out into the audience and said how happy she was to see all these Dolly Parton's looking back. lol. Such a good sport. A very good person.

Pattypan - We moved here in January of 2015 from Florida. It's great but I'm going to move back to the mainland (Arizona?) once I sell my Hawaii house.
 
Hoot N Annie, sounds like you're a warm weather woman. I understand. The older I get the colder I get and we have a winter blizzard heading our way. I don't mind the cold. I mind the bitter and frigid below freezing temps and the 50 mph wind gusts. I live in NY not Alaska. lol. I hope you find a buyer soon and your move is right around the corner.
 
Hi Marie! As prepared as we can be. What about you? The weather experts keep on changing the forecast. 12-18 inches. Maybe more. Maybe less. Maybe some sleet with it. Maybe not. Winds around 30 mph. Oh wait! Maybe 50.

Wow! People are still without power from last week? Good grief. Those poor people. I hope you and your loved ones are safe and sound and don't loose power. Stay safe!
