The grandparents with 186 pics of their grandkids.

You have probably seen that ad, in an airplane, where a guy is sitting next to a grandmother with a wallet full of pics of her grand kids. That's happened to me. "It's a shame you only have 8 pics of Little Susie with her teddy. Oh, you got more".
Fess up. Are you one of those grandparents, or know some?

I know someone like that, and it's the only topic she can talk about. I've gotten to where I avoid her like the plague, because once she gets started you can't get away from her. She may have more than 186 pix of them, and a l-o-o-o-o-ng story to go with each one. I wonder if she realizes why everybody suddenly remembers they left the stove on when she comes around.

I have many more pictures of my grandchildren. Now I don't whip them out and show them all over, there is no need too. I am on facebook. I post a selection of pictures that I especially like, and interested friends and family can see them there.

I do the same with my dogs. It is not that I never whip out the phone and assault people with my grandchildren, but if that is where the conversation is I have no compunctions about showing off.

I know that MY grandchildren are perfect in every way and their accomplishments such as tying their shoes and going big girl potty, and even eating that last green bean, are events that need to be recorded for posterity, and all people should be agog at their progress.

I can't even count how many pictures I have of my 3 grandchildren. I love looking at them and I'm always asking for more. However I am not the type of person who shows them to others. Of course I show them to my sister and her children because I love when she sends me some of her family. I feel like I would be bragging if I showed the pictures to everyone I talk to.

Many folks nowadays have tons of pics on their cell phone, usually thousands of pics of grandkids.

Or, dogs and/or cats.

It's just another rude way people are only focused on themselves. That said, I don't mind seeing one or two pics of someone's grandkids.
