Fatal Attraction - alternate (original) ending

Wow.

Both endings were amazing and disturbing. I guess I prefer the other one in that the wronged wife got her revenge, but in both cases there really were two victims, the wife and Alex.

Back when this movie was popular and everyone was talking about it, most people felt there was a message/warning for married men. But I also felt there was a lesson/warning for single women: Don't get involved with married men, you will get hurt.

I was creeped out throughout the movie, no matter which ending
Guess it’s because I have a strong feeling…commitment towards fidelity
Maybe too, because, even though I consider Michael Douglas a fine actor, I love to hate him.
And since that movie, Glenn Close became, and continues to be, a very scary person.
Annie Archer, however, became, no matter the role, my heroine.

But

Themost horrific thing about that movie now, besides that steaming rabbit, is

IT WAS THIRTY FREAKING YEARS AGO!!!!

(thankyou for that, Apple)

I think both are true actually....but then perhaps I'm being irrational.....

In the movie the actress Ann Archer,...I always thought was very pretty & somewhat underrated & under utilized by Hollywood....

She played a few movies with Harrison Ford, back around that same era , again very pretty & played the part very well.

I always wondered how many men were "scared" into fidelity by that movie.

probably many

Had a somewhat similar experience back in the sixties
Only I wasn’t married

A vindictive woman is to be the most feared of all humanity
…and portions of the predatory animal kingdom
