Flooding gets worse in South England

I am so grateful we live nowhere near the flooded areas. We did have a very heavy snow fall this morning, but it soon disappeared, and we now have blue skies sunshine and it is quite mild. Weird weather, indeed!

We haven't had a flake yet.....and I am glad I live on a small hill!

It must be awful Seabreeze; some places, and farmland, have been flooded for four weeks now....and it is getting worse; with a lot more rain forecast this week.

I liked the duck though; I have been on one in New York, Rotarua, and Boston, (I think.)

And it is not improving.

I am ok too, although several roads are becoming difficult to pass; please stop raining.

Can't wait.....

BTW, I know I have said before don't believe everything you read in the Daily Mail.
you can believe this!

Thinking of all the people in england experiencing bad floods at the moment and hope they are safe and the rain and floods soon subside.
The area where I used to live close by, Bangor in South Aus is in its 4th week of out of control wildfires / bushfires as they are known here, with temperatures in the 40 degrees celsius again this week,we could do with some of that rain.

I heard that last night, I hadn't realised they had so many fires, and so close to Melbourne .
the radio said that 'only' 50 fires remained out of 150, and , so far, nobody had died. Let's hope the wind stays down.

I would send this rain....anywhere...with pleasure.

We do have a snicker about the rain in the UK but this is way beyond joking about. Glad all on here are okay but 4 weeks under flood waters is no picnic for those affected. Wishing you blue skies over there, and soonish!

I suspect that areas which aren't prone to flooding will fetch premium house prices in future years if the storms we have seen over the past few months continue to be a feature of UK weather.

True,...and our area which is not in a flood plane already have house prices through the roof as it is.

However the worst of all will be the double whammy for the home and business owners when their next years' insuance premiums are due...it will be astronomical, and for many people it will mean having to move from the area they've lived and worked in all their lives !!

Saw pictures last night of the Thames breaking its banks, I really feel for all of those people affected, flood waters entering your home is demoralising. We lived in a flood prone area for years, I was glad to get out of it.
