Do you think this is normal or creepy or nobody's business? My family kissed on the cheek or forehead but even if there was a lip kiss it wouldn't be that long. I think it's creepy and the son felt uncomfortable and since this was all on video he probably is really embarrassed by it all and will be for the rest of his life. I hear twitter and fb are blowing up over this
 

Kind of long for father son kiss IMO I think in some countries it would be no big deal but odd in US. Again just my opinion.
 
I saw this the other day. It wasn't enough that the boy had already kissed him, he had to call him back for a longer kiss on the lips , all the while the father is being massaged ... the boy was clearly embarrassed, and I felt uncomfortable for him watching it.... Unnecessary by the father IMO
 
I think it is creepy and nobody's business. It was especially creepy that he asked for another kiss. But it was the kid kissing his Dad, not the reverse as the sensationalized title of the video suggests. Unless parents are doing something illegal how they decided to rear their children is only their business.
I believe mouth to mouth kisses belong to lovers ONLY. My parents used to kiss us on the mouth and it was beyond disgusting (and I think less of them for it.)
 
I agree with Holly, I wouldn't have thought twice about the first kiss, but calling the boy back for that second one made me feel sorry for the son too. My mother or father never kissed us on the lips that I can remember but I know it's common in some families. The father having it purposely included in his video recording was not right in my opinion.
 
Why is there a video of this? Would this be different if a daughter kissed her mother
In answer to the op's question I think it's nobody's business.
 
I should be a fan of Tom Brady`s as he is a "homeboy". He was raised in San Mateo,CA,the city where I was born and then raised a few minutes north of. But he has consistently turned me off,both with his behaviors and his words. I am no fan. And this video creeped me out.
 
Since it was on video and put out to the public it seems it is our business. Unless this was a hidden camera. It bothered me how the young boy quickly did his dad's bidding to give him a longer kiss. He obviously didn't like it or he wouldn't have wiped his mouth.
 
It really doesn't look that bad to me but then I come from a family that kissed each other on the mouth; if tongue were involved I'd think differently.

I've noticed other Gen-X and maybe some millennial parents kiss their children in the mouth. It was something I meant to post about as well. I don't think it's appropriate. I would never think to kiss my son on the mouth, even when he was a little boy. IMO cheeks and foreheads serve that purpose.

It was never seen it done in my family and I don't see it in our family to this day, with all of the little ones. As Diva states, "Cheeks and foreheads serve that purpose".
 
Just because it's not done in your family doesn't make in inappropriate in other cultures. It's not like they are French kissing after all..

I always get a kiss on the lips from my grandson (12) when he says goodbye to me and I'm certainly not about to tell him to stop. He's comfy with it and so am I. Eldest granddaughter also gives me a kiss on the lips but youngest one doesn't, she offers up her cheek or kisses me on the cheek. Again, whatever they are comfy with.

As for my adult sons.... a quick peck on the cheek at Christmas/New Year ... if I'm lucky. ;)
 
Personally, no, definately not, just seems weird to me, especially, as has already been commented on, asking for another kiss ....gross
