I can't remember the last time I had everything matching !! Everything I own seems to be mismatched !
When I Was first married , it was the "Suzy home maker " thing to do . Everything perfect. Everything matching. As I got on with real life ... things got haphazardly replaced. The grocery store was giving away glasses , silverware and plates , but I never managed to collect whole sets. When my son was little,we had more Flintstone cups & McDonald's dishes .... ugh.. you name it , if it was free we had it ! Now that it's just the 2 of us - we STILL don't have anything matching ! In fact,we don't even use glass drinking glasses. We have an assortment of nice plastic ones because my husband kept breaking them. Now, a few of my real dishes still match... But I have a lovely stack of matching paper plates next to the microwave. I guess you could describe my kitchen as "retirement Chic" ~~~~
