Good to hear Ike, at least now those who need it for treatment can have legal access to it.

Just in case I ever need it I'm glad it passed....but.

I know absolutely diddly squat about THC strengths in MJ but I would imagine that it's going to be a pain in the a$$ for employers to come up with some sort of policy for their legal medical MJ users.

As a employer would you want a employee that can use legally operating a piece of high dollar equipment, flying a plane, carrying a gun as a cop, performing surgery etc etc ?.....I wouldn't.

I think if you're having medical marijuana prescribed by a doctor, he will know the strength that you need for your pain or condition, and if you don't care to smoke it, he would prescribe the edible version for you. If I was an employer, I wouldn't want anyone failing a test for alcohol in their systems either, there should be acceptable limits. I used to come in contact with semi-truck drivers when I was working, and many stories of surprise tests in the morning and drivers being sent home from drinking too much or too late the previous night. I've also read about surgeons and other doctors coming to work spaced out on opioids.

Most medical grade marijuana has minimal levels of THC. It will not make a person high.

This isn’t necessarily true. If this were the case then marijuana wouldn’t still be classified as a schedule 1 drug however there definitely ARE new strains out with minimal THC. The goal IS to create enough strains that are .03% or less to get it out of schedule 1 but it’s not quite there yet.

New strains are starting to get developed without the THC for people who shouldn’t possibly have it, including people with any type of psychosis or children with serious disorders including epileptic seizures.

These have recently been created mainly due to the ludicrous and arbitrary process parents were going through trying to get the right type of strains for their children to treat epileptic seizures yet it’s still listed as a schedule 1 drug . More and more strains are now being developed because its best if marijuana isn’t a schedule 1 drug yet its STILL not that cut and dry.

At the moment not all medical marijuana has little to no THC in it but there definitely are more strains to choose from including strains with zero THC like charlottes web. It’s cross bred with the hemp plant. It’s at .03%.

AC/DC at 2%.

This is the challenge of marijuana breeders but most plants are STILL considered a schedule 1 narcotic due to this very fact.

Most of my strains still have some amount of THC in them but some are very low THC/ high CBD.
