You've made it this far, now what has proved to be the best piece of advice you ever received?
It is no good getting old if you don't get crafty with it.:bigwink:
This was often said by my mother.![]()
"Don't Do It!" but I did it anyway
The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return.
(From "Nature Boy")
Mom used to say eat your crusts and you will get nice curly hair, she was right too
My best advice is cut up your credit card and just use cash if you possibly can.
An old man told me this when I was a teenager. The greatest challenge in life is discovering who you are. The second greatest is being happy with what you find.
I can't think of any advice that I have ever taken to heart.
I really don't recall anyone ever actually giving me advice. Lots and lots of orders but never advice. Perhaps it was a girl I'd been dating when I enlisted who I saw after coming home and was getting back to school. She was in grad school at Stanford and said that getting a degree only means you have the discipline to stick with it. I kinda liked that. Her, too . . .
