If you mean material things...then it has to be the photos of my daughter's childhood..they are very precious

Person, place, or thing

hmmmm

Thing

Gotta be my shop, and everthing in it

But

The one thing, that, well, everthing would be a tad askew without it;
My 12” sliding miter saw

Now, the Native American side of my lady sez we don’t own anything, we just take care of it, use it, pass it on

She’s taking care of a sea container full of llama and alpaca wool

Outside of my family my most precious possession is my music box. My Dad was a nurseryman his whole life. When I was very young,a few weeks before Christmas, he would go with a crew to Vermont and cut by hand the Christmas trees they sold on the nursery. He would always bring me back a gift.
One of the first was this music box. It is dated 1948. It plays the Blue Danube Waltz.

My Mom or Dad would wind it for me since I was to young to do it myself. It has a circle of felt where the feet touch as she dances. It is worn from all the turns but still plays. My Mom replaced the dress years ago because it got so faded.

I told my kids and hubby that I don't want flowers when I die,donate to an animal shelter if they want, but I would like to be buried holding the music. box.

My late husband was a talented artist, producing many beautiful works late in life. Some were sold, some were given to our children, but the bulk of his art work resides in my house. Those things are precious and irreplacable.

This is so very touching Sunny. I know it’s probably been a while but I’m so sorry for your loss.

Thanks, Keesha. It's been over 8 years now, we had 54 good years together, so I can't complain. Partly due to being surrounded by his art work, I feel that he's still very much a part of my life.

Thats so heartwarming. My man carves and our house is filled with carved birds, spoons, shoe horns, and so many things and I’d have to keep it all also. It’s got parts of his heart and soul in them. :heart:
