Living the Dream
Has anyone ever ordered these steaks before? I am tempted as they are running a $149 value for $49. A good selection of meat in this offer. Is it shipped in dry ice or something else to keep them cool? Pappy

I think that is the Holiday special
To begin with wrapping filet in bacon should be a misdemeanor offence. Filet if Prime or USDA choice doesn't need bacon to add tenderness when prepared.
Then there is the all beef meat balls, All beef can be any part of the steer, or the same kind of advertisement you see for hot dogs.
Not much value for me in those two.
Veggies Really? The quantity would probably be less than $4.00 for brand name similar items.
All in all it's up to you. For me I'd rather go to Smith's or Albertsons and buy the same items at about 1/2 the price.
Recently Albertson's had USDA choice porterhouse steak on sale for $5.95 a lb. An inch & 1/4 thick I bought 30 lb. to stock up. I like the non filet part my wife like the filet. It's all in what is perceived as value. I cut out the meat before BBQ'ing to boil the bones for beef broth. No waste!
This is a rip off- $50.00 for what? After you remove the bacon, you have 2 tiny 4 oz pieces. wow.
Look at the meatballs- not even a pound of ground beef, and NO fat to lean percentages to be found. 12 oz package = 12 meatballs. Serving size is 3 meatballs but look at the calories from fat- 210 per serving! No wonder they hide the fat to lean ratio! All beef, but mostly fat and don't forget the added breadcrumbs, water, whey, broth etc. so how many actual oz of meat is there? Not 12 oz.that's for sure!
The potatoes au gratin. Weight is 2.88 oz. for 4, they cost $12.00 or $1.04 per oz! No nutrition is listed, no ingredients list which I think may be against the law. How much potato, cheese and whatever else is in there?
The rustic baking vegs, 24 oz, no price per oz. ingredients: Potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery. Big deal.
Is is all from Knight's link above. Seems the company deliberately leaves out info to make it difficult to compare or even determine how much these items cost per each.
