I eat broclli, blueberries, tart cherries, nuts, fish, olive oil. Not every day but if I think about it I try to every day. I can't say for certain why it happened but my knee and hip pain have all but disappeared. I take a few supplements daily as well but my guess is the food is doing more. My knee pain got pretty serious so I am hoping this regiments is the cause of it ceasing.

We take Turmeric as well, but I also have to take 800mg ibuprofen and sometimes a 50mg Tramadol. Two Turmeric in a day can give me diarrhea.

Eating healthy is probably the best way to avoid many problems. Supplements are also a good choice to treat specific areas. I have had some hip arthritis for years, but a daily Glucosamine/MSM pill seems to keep that under control...far better, IMO, than surgeries/joint replacement, etc.

I don't know much about hip replacements but knee repalcements are full of nightmare stories. My hips bothered me until I addressed the inflamation wih foods.

Info is forever changing on inflammatory foods. I have gotten strict but then fell on that strict wagon.

Egg yolks are said to be inflammatory and I cut those out for a while but got so bored. I like the whole egg.

I take 400mg ibuprofen every 6 hrs and make sure food in my stomach and feel too Grape Seed Extract protects my stomach. Labs recently said liver and kidneys are good.

Are you taking ibuprofen everyday??!

MY VA doctor prescribes me the 800 Ibuprofen, which I take almost on a daily basis (1x daily) and have been since 2012. My "twice a year" VA check-up shows I'm doing fine. The check-up includes labs.

I've had two rotator cuff surgeries, one on each shoulder, but in the last couple of years, osteoarthritis has set in on the left shoulder. No real bad pain, but more of the "nagging/achy" type. Right hip replacement done in 2005 and wife and I are darn glad I had it done.

I turely believe in surgeries. Back in Oct 2018, had laser assisted cataract surgery done on both eyes, with new lenses put in. I now have 20-20 vision in left eye and 20-25 in right. Extremely happy! Got rid of my prescription glasses and only use reading glasses now for close-up/small print reading.
