Woman Killed in Crash Seconds After Posting on Her Facebook

Texting, talking on phone, eating, doing make-up, speeding, tailgating, swerving . . . all self-indulgent jerks never considering the consequences. Never. And it will just continue. No amount of getting the word out or cracking down by the police will change their behavior. Drive defensively and be careful out there . . . !!!

Good advice TG, always drive defensively, and be careful out there. Expect the unexpected. :drive:

My work, during the evening hours, has me driving from place to place and I see a multitude of dumb and insane driving from no lights, going the wrong way, last second lane changes, backing up on the freeway . . . ; you name it, I've seen it.

When I had a stint as a driving instructor.
I used to ask.
What is the most dangerous nut in a car?
Answer.
The nut holding the steering wheel.

The fools just aren't getting it, when in charge of a car two hands on the wheel, and concentrate on the road and the traffic, check your mirrors and anticipate what the other drivers are going to do, bugger the mobile phone you can always ring whoever it is later, why take a chance to text someone, they may as well commit suicide. Trouble is sometimes these idiots take out innocent people with them. Be good if they could come up with some technology that as soon as the engine of the car starts it cuts the mobile reception off, but until then start jailing these morons who are caught texting. Feel sorry for that womans family.

re:Texting while driving, just don't do it.

You and I both know drivers will continue to text at any speed,if she was drunk, speeding and texting at the same time then her lawyer might have something to work with to help her family reap some $$$$$.
Thats the way it is today.

I agree Jilly, we were almost run off the road on a 75mph highway because some woman was on her cellphone, totally oblivious to the fact that she swerved over into our lane and almost made us roll our vehicle on the embankment (or worse). She wasn't even texting, just yacking away in her own little world. Luckily my husband's a good driver and was able to control the truck. I'm amazed at all the stunts people pull while driving, they all seem to be distracted.

Heard the question asked once on the radio, "What do you think about while driving?" It was disturbing that no one answered, "Driving".
