Denise, It is easy to see why the cigarette/ashtray thingy isn't around today.layful:

I remember seeing this thing in a magazine years ago. I also remember having a good laugh at it then and it is still funny today. However, as a former engineer, I have to give some bit of credit to the designer for his/her creativity. As for him/her being practical, well..........................

I would think that would be a lot of unbalanced weight on the working end of that thing ... would put a lot of strain on your teeth.
