try concentrating on one finger at a time , counting to 10 for each finger.. wipe all other thoughts out of your mind.. only think about counting.. I guess its similar to counting sheep. But it works for me 98 percent of the time.

It is hard to find a good doctor. Its a shame.. and yes I believe I am starting to experience "agism" .. just gotta keep trying till you find a good one. I think I have now. But I def have PTSD from the last one. Im sorry you are experiencing this w people who are supposed to care.

I know how you feel, I am like you and dont have many people, I ended up having to take someone who I cant stand. But ya they def will not let you have surgery if you come alone. They really need to change that policy. These surgeries are vital.

I started losing my vision years ago and I went to the doc and discovered I had diabetes.. and my sugar was at 325..I stated taking meds and as my sugar went down I regained my vision.. please check your sugar and get to doc , keep us posted I know its worrisome.
