I heard that the Co-op managed to mitigate the worst if it, like M&S suffered, by the CEO organising pulling the plugs early on so no internet. Our only grocery shop in the village is a Co-op & they’re coping ok.

100 degrees! I‘m wilting here at 75. It’s just not right. Up here on the northern hills in May!!!! It should be 50 with the rain bucketing down & the wind whistling round the eaves like normal. We’ve had no rain for three whole weeks, the world’s gone mad & my poor garden is gasping.

Yes. Was due to move to west coast of Scotland, house all sorted ready to buy but then the company decided not to expand there & the job I was to take up the following month no longer existed. Disappointed is an understatement.

Definitely made some wrong choices along the way

Countries are far too reliable on electricity these days. We had days of power cuts back during the miners strikes but we managed as we had open fires, a gas cooker, petrol cars & so just needed candles & torches on standby. Too many eggs in one basket now.

Belated happy birthday to Pixie. Yes I know all my lot‘s birthdays & I do celebrate each one by giving their favourite food & a new toy to the ones who love them Two are much too grand ladies to be bothered with toys 😂
