Left: I still go hiking every day and use my mini-gym. No junk food but the Mediterranean diet, and enjoying (lol) my
CPAP machine every night. Whatever science and research are recommending to stretch out my life a few years further.
Right: My 16 m/o Boxer puppy Rex is "protecting" his 6 y/o sweetheart Heidi from me, and she in turn cuddles on to him.
I adopted Rex 4 months ago, and he has gained 15 pounds. Rex has bonded with me, but I don't like him biting my nose.

After a stopover in NYC, my daughter is at this moment on her 6-hour flight to Iceland for a two-weeks vacation.
Some friends had invited her to join this trip that I strongly opposed: (a) Iceland touches the Arctic Circled and has
in January only 4-5 hours of daylight. She can't do much sightseeing though has plenty of time enjoying the Northern
Lights. (b) Driving the 828 mile road around the island, the North-Eastern road section has ice patches. I am worried
even though they are renting a four-wheel drive car. With a population of only 364K, help is NOT on its way. And (c)
she might neglect her post-graduate studies for which I am paying.
The white patch at the top center is Greenland that recently has been in the news.
Left: My grandson found a Monarch Butterfly caterpillar. After showing him on my laptop the four stages
of the butterflies' development, I asked him to place it back to where he had found it.
Right: Squirrels and gophers dug tunnels into my wife’s chicken coop, while birds and rats also are stealing
food. The chickens have been so intimidated by this invasion that we don't get eggs anymore. HELP!
