Does anyone show their actual photo of themselves

The above is the result of a collision of my face with the concrete. No serious damage - just a black eye, a cut above in the eyebrow and irreparable damage to my spectacles.

Spent Monday night in the ED ward for observation and a CT scan. Blood pressure through the roof even though I felt OK and was quite unstressed. I was also given a tetanus booster.

Saw my GP today and he said that everything was actually quite normal after a fall. Everyone has elevated blood pressure readings.

Tomorrow I visit the optician for an eye test and to select frames for my new glasses.

Ouch, so sorry. I'm glad you got proper medical attention and are on the mend. Judging from your beautiful smile I see you didn't let this get you down. 🌹

My wife took a similar spill a couple months back, her eyeglass frame gouged a very bloody wound right near her eye, the sight of which was quite alarming.

I agree, Marci and Patty... I never considered that it's about getting a pic stolen. It's more like anyone I know (and I know a lot of people from the business I was/am in) would suddenly be able to see/stalk/blackmail (hehe, okay, not that last one!). But yeah, not real keen on my sister, brothers, friends, daughter, or associates seeing all my biz. This is one of the, if not *the* highest ranking senior forums. I can be searching something totally unrelated, and a SF post comes up on Google. @MarciKS @PeppermintPatty

I’ve posted pictures of me horse back riding where my hair was tied up, I had sunglasses on and was also wearing a horse back riding cap so I was camouflaged somewhat. I’ve also posted pictures of me without the sunglasses on with a lifelong friend of mine . I I couldn’t even say what thread they were in. It was maybe 6 years ago.


I personally like being peppermint patty the rest of the time. I’m incognito which I like. I wouldn’t want family and friends following me around. Not that I’m doing anything wrong. I just like a bit of breathing space. I’m not on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram either and like it that way.

I get this, Patty and @CallMeKate. It's not a big issue with me because I simply don't know that many people. I've lived a relatively secluded, quiet life for the most part and I'm just not that connected. Still, like Patty, I generally prefer my avatars.

There is, though, a picture of me on SF somewhere making a scary face, trying to show off my back denture metal, which I thought was so freaking cool. 😅

That's kind of like my life now, too... but I guarantee that if what I told you happened to me yesterday from not eating/drinking enough had been recognizable, one or both of my brothers would have been at the door trying to force-feed me if they had seen it here. :ROFLMAO:
