It's not your fault. Rabbits are so fragile. I have fed Rabbit various foods over the years and he was fine. Then one day, it would start causing him issues. So I would do the elimination diet and find it was an old familiar food that he loves. So sad when I have to stop giving it to him.He was a good boy. He had a huge outside pen that was all fenced in and a huge pen down in the basement that was all fenced in. He also got to run around the house each day freely. We had a German shepherd who adored him. They were best friends.
Unfortunately he only lived for 4 years but I used to treat him with gladioli . Just last night I discovered that it was toxic to him. Now I’m feeling really guilty. The thing is, he loved them so much. It’s hard to believe they were toxic to him.
It difficult figuring out what food is causing them issues and even more difficult when it’s their favourite food. I miss my bunny. Today I actually considered getting another one but we have 2 very active dogs already. If they didn’t get along I’d be heart broken. It's not your fault. Rabbits are so fragile. Yeah and my boss is telling me to get off the computer right now..........and bring the bedtime treats!
We had dwarfs but females going back decades as my father loved animals , I was always under the impression that male rabbits were bit difficult as far as " spraying " territory ?He was a good boy. He was litter trained and didn’t eat any furniture or electrical cords.

That might be so but my male(s) never sprayed. I wouldn’t have let them run around the house if they did. Here’s another photo of him.We had dwarfs but females going back decades as my father loved animals , I was always under the impression that male rabbits were bit difficult as far as " spraying " territory ?
Our neighbor in Albany had outdoor hutches with Flemish giants but he bred them for food , I think also popular in Canada .
