$100 Dollar Prize

Aunt Mavis

I have met the enemy and he is us. Pogo
I offer $100 for proof of the supernatural. I’d offer more but that’s a realistic sum I feel. The proof is at my sole discretion but I’m an honest guy by nature. For example, I’m thinking of a specific date in history. If you get it correct the only explanation would be supernatural. Some might say “it doesn’t work that way” but let the fun begin. Lol.

Oh gosh, well I have stories but cannot prove any of them.

The date though in history, that you are thinking of, I know that it is 1876!

I have to know how close I am, or I won't be able to sleep tonight! LOL

The James Randi Foundation offers a $1,000,000 prize for proof of the supernatural.

The foundation sponsors a challenge offering a prize of US $1,000,000 to anyone who can demonstrate evidence of any paranormal, supernatural or occult power or event. The prize has yet to be claimed. No one has ever produced any actual evidence for faith-healing, telepathy, psionics, dowsing, precognative psychic friends with astral bodies, past life remembrance, or spectral manifestations of any kind.

I'm sure it was this one. Donate the $100.00 to a charity of your choice.

After sacking the city of Antioch in 540 CE, Sasanian Emperor Khosrow I built a new city that looked almost exactly the same and called it "Weh Antiok Khusrau," which translates roughly to "Khosrow Made This City Better Than Antioch."

Let me know if you need an address to mail my $100 to.

If you could pick someone from the group to give them the answer confidentially by PM, then this is more legitimate. Else, how do we know what you are thinking is what you actually say you are thinking? I'm not implying you are lying, but credibility is the key here. Unless, of course, we already know the answer and are supernatural, and this is a moot point. Just my two bits. :)

I read minds and so I had a look inside your head.
It looks like a tangled woodland, therefore I beat a hasty retreat 🤣

I could but, then there’s potential cheating. $100 isn’t enough for me to be dishonest anyway.

Weird. One of those dates has significance to me, the year is meaningless however. What are the odds of that? Lol.

Amelia Earhart is probably the most famous female pilot in aviation history, an accolade due both to her aviation career and to her mysterious disappearance. On May 20-21, 1932, Earhart became the first woman, and the second person after Charles Lindbergh, to fly nonstop and solo across the Atlantic Ocean.

James Randi couldn’t even get a dowser to pass a basic demonstration to move forward to the 1 million dollar challenge. Dowsers must hate money.

Dowser's succeed for a couple of reasons. First in most places groundwater is everywhere, doesn't matter so much where you drill. And sometimes when bedrock is shallow and groundwater flows mostly in fractures a trained eye can spot those fractures by studying the surface topography. A really good dowser does just that, and can be as good as hiring a geologist. Nothing supernatural involved.
Dowsers must hate money.
No, in my experience they expect to be paid, and are smart enough not to waste time trying to prove the unproveable.
