12yr old girl gives birth

Both the parents of the baby and the baby should be taken into care, imo. For the parents of the girl to express themselves 'proud' shows they have failed as parents and are enjoying the notoriety of being featured in the media.

The parents of that baby maker kid is that they alone with have to take care of that baby probably forever.

i suppose we human animals became sexually active and capable of creating more of the same at an early age long, long ago when our chances for survival were pretty slim and old age was very young by today's standard. Now, we've been burdened with keeping children from doing what just comes naturally. Of course, we've failed many times over. Even "adults" are procreating like rabbits without any thought past the moment's fleeting pleasure. As for these two being so deeply in love . . . I recall being "in love" with hundreds of girls since that age. I wish them all the best and then some.

I too wish them all the best but they are so young. Even if they feel they know what love is, they are not going to experience growing up really because they have a child to raise!

I disagree, it could do more harm than good to put the children and the baby into care and even more so if the baby was separated from it's natural mother.

Both sets of grandparents have pledged support and help with the children and the baby and they should be left in their natural environment, the social workers will already be on the case and will make regular visits plus since the well known baby P case in England the health service have put in a scheme called MECSH ( Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home Visiting) whereby a health visitor will make regular visits to make sure a new mother is coping and know what they are doing and if anything is wrong with either baby or mother it can be caught early and the mother advised accordingly.

I am not sure but I think these visits can go on for over two years or more.

New mothers do not have a choice in these regular visits by the health visitor and it is for ALL new mothers no matter what walk of life they come from, whether single parents or married couples in a loving relationship.

We are no longer living in the 1950's.
