Stop using, discard the bottle, but take a photo of the 12 number code on it first , so you can claim a refund from the companies. THIS IS NOT A SCAM.

It's only the Pine Sol products.. Clorox owns those products. Clorox bleach is not recalled.

"On October 25, Clorox announced in a statement with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission that the company would voluntarily recall approximately 37 million Pine-Sol products due to potential bacterial contamination."

"The recall affects specific scented Pine-Sol products produced between January 2021 and September 2022, including Pine-Sol Scented Multi-Surface Cleaners in Lavender Clean, Sparkling Wave, and Lemon Fresh scents, as well as CloroxPro Pine-Sol All Purpose Cleaners in Lavender Clean, Sparkling Wave, Lemon Fresh, and Orange Energy scents. Clorox Professional Pine-Sol Lemon Fresh Cleaners are also affected."

People just need to stick with the basic products, and stay away from the cutesy smelling stuff.

Does Pine-Sol kill bacteria?​


Pine-Sol is effective against some bacteria—mostly gram-negative (which includes E-Coli), but only if it’s used in relatively high concentrations, according to ScienceDirect. You’ll also want to check the label to see how much actual pine oil is in the cleanser. Pine-Sol (the brand) contains between 8 to 12 percent pine oil, which should be effective, while imitations may contain mixtures derived from pine oil rather than pine oil itself, and those will be less effective. There is no evidence that pine oil kills viruses. Pine-Sol also contains ingredients that are highly toxic to the environment.


Verdict: Pine-Sol kills some bacteria, but not all. There is no evidence that Pine-Sol kills viruses.

my brand new bottle of the stuff is not marked any way, so I guess it came from new guiena....so forget it....it's not like I'm going to drink the damn stuff....already threw out one bottle.....
